UI/UX Designer

Boost Labs is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to design and build cutting edge web interfaces that interacts with the target audience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design Wireframe Mocks Using Balsamiq or Equivalent Mock Design Tool.
  • Translate Wireframe Mock Designs into Photoshop.
  • Prepare Static HTML Files, Built as Templates for Back-End Developers to Use.
  • Working with Designers and Developers to Clarify Changes and Applying Them in HTML and CSS.
  • Testing Across Multiple Browsers for Compatibility.
  • Code Using HTML 5, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, CSS 3, and Other Front End Technologies.

Qualified candidates MUST have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Design or IT With at Least 3 Years of Demonstrated Experience Focused on UI Project Work.
  • Possess a Keen Eye for Details, Including Color, Typography, Size, and Layout.
  • Technical Expert Knowledge of CSS, HTML, HTML5, AJAX, Flash, Javascript, and JQuery, Including Ability to Hand-Code Standards-Compliant HTML and CSS.
  • Understanding of Design and Web Production Best Practices, Including Web Usability Standards, Cross-Browser Compatibility, and Building Page Templates.
  • Information Design Experience.
  • Experience with User-Interface or User-Experience (UI, UX) Creative Setting.

Ideal candidates MAY also have:

  • Experience with Web API’s.
  • Experience with Data Visualization Tools (Google, D3, Raphael, Protovis,etc.).
  • Experience with LESS or Twitter BootStrap.
  • Knowledge of SEO practices.
  • Strong Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Skills.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Familiar with Agile Development Processes.
  • 508 Compliance Understanding
  • Sharepoint Design Experience

Junior Infographics Designer

Boost Labs is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer with strength in Information Graphics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding Data sets with the intention to design infographics and data visualizations with artistic appeal
  • Brainstorming and Conceptualizing client objectives into clear concepts for visual communication
  • Translating Concepts into polished digital designs using Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for web, mobile, and print
  • Parting-out and Exporting digital graphic layers for web or mobile development (ex. Website & Mobile App Designs)
  • Exporting Designed pieces for printing (ex. Business Cards, Brochures)
  • Working in a creative team environment
  • Keeping the client’s objectives in mind throughout critiques and design revision process
  • Copywriting short marketing messages, taglines, or other communication needs

Qualified candidates MUST:

  • Possess a keen eye for details, including color, typography, size, and layout
  • Possess strong communication skills including ability to write well in English
  • Have working experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Have working knowledge of some kind of Content Management System (CMS), WordPress preferred
  • Be able to provide samples of design work and references

Administrative Assistant

Boost Labs is seeking an Admin Assistant to join our growing team. Please email your resume with a cover letter and feel free to tell us about any hobbies or special skills you may have.

Job Description:
This is a full-time position that will require 35-40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:
Professional will be responsible for answering and directing phone calls; scheduling; general office administration; web research; and entry-level marketing tasks.

Job Qualifications: Candidate must possess excellent phone and verbal communication skills, as well as written and non-verbal correspondence skills. Also, candidate must be organized and detail-oriented with a positive high-energy attitude towards completing tasks. Successful candidate will learn quickly, be self-motivated, and strive for constant improvement. Candidate will be required to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Additional skills that are important for this position include a strong knowledge of computers and experience using the web to research. Skills that would be helpful in this position include an understanding of basic marketing principles, familiarity with search engine optimization and other internet marketing disciplines, as well as an understanding of website structure and basic HTML.
Associates Degree or equivalent experience required.

Need: Quick learner, team player, organized, a bit of a techie — proficient computer user, strong work ethic, positive outlook.

Helpful: Design eye, marketing, social media, event planning.
