Senior UI/UX Designer

Boost Labs is on the lookout for a Senior Designer to join our growing team and work with us to push what is technologically feasible. We are data analysts, innovative coders, and clever designers: we love creating ways to view data and building beautiful visual and technical solutions. The ideal candidate is driven by innovation and is able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. We’re looking for someone who values strategic collaboration, has a strong commitment to accountability, and wants to build cool shit.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • As part of the Creative team, you will collaborate with project managers, data scientist, developers, and other designers on projects varying from informational graphics and data visualizations to interactive dashboards and large scale applications.
  • Work from concept development to final product presentation by implementing various design process steps: defining a problem, conducting research, gathering requirements, brainstorming and ideating, iterating from low fidelity wireframes to high fidelity design prototypes

What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of UI (or related) experience
  • 3+ years of UX experience
  • Experience working in Agile environment
  • Proficient in Sketch, Axure, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Experience with Basecamp, Asana and/or JIRA
  • Well-versed in information architecture and user research (scenarios, personas, surveys, user flows, journey maps, site maps, workflow diagrams, etc.)
  • Translate sketches and whiteboarding concepts to wireframes and high fidelity mockups/prototypes
  • Strong understanding of design principles such as typography, color, and layout
  • Passion to create smart, functional, and usable designs, not just something that looks good
  • Data visualization experience (dashboards, applications, infographics, etc.)
  • Attention to detail, ability to conduct and facilitate design requirements
  • Ability to comfortably interact with clients and internal team members
  • Top-notch constructive communication skills — both written and spoken
  • Portfolio showcasing creative design thinking and user experience practices
  • A creative mind is a must!
